What Happens at Closing?

A Clear, Simple Guide to Closing Day in Colorado

What actually happens on closing day?

For many first-time buyers and out-of-state relocators, closing day feels like a mystery. Steve Charlett makes sure every client arrives prepared.

Here's what happens at a Colorado closing:

📋 You'll sign a lot of documents. Loan documents, title documents, and closing disclosure among others. Plan for 1 to 2

hours at the title company.

💵 You'll bring funds. Your down payment and closing costs come via wire transfer or certified check before or at closing.

🔑 You'll get the keys. Once the deed records with the county — sometimes same day, sometimes next business day — the

home is yours.

📞 Steve will be there. He walks every client through closing, answers questions in real time, and makes sure everything

goes smoothly.

For out-of-state buyers, Colorado allows remote closings in many cases. You can sign documents electronically or via remote notary and close without being physically present.

Steve believes closing should feel like a celebration, not a stress event. His job is to make sure you arrive prepared.
