Denver Broncos and Invesco Field

Located near the site of Denver’s old Mile High Stadium, construction on the new Invesco Field began in August 1999. With 76,000 seats the stadium incorporates a three tier grandstand design in the shape of a horseshoe. The lower grandstand circles the entire field. Visible for miles, atop the scoreboard is a replica of a Bronco named “Bucky”.

Colorado Rockies and Coors Field

The 76-acre ballpark stands at 20th and Blake streets in Denver’s historic lower downtown (“LoDo”) district. The 146,000-square-foot Hamilton Building opened to the public October 7, 2006. The Hamilton Building’s stunning design recalls the peaks of the Rocky Mountains and geometric rock crystals found in the foothills near Denver. “I was inspired by the light and the geology of the Rockies, but most of all by the wide-open faces of the people of Denver,” says Libeskind. The building is covered with 9,000 titanium panels that reflect the brilliant Colorado sunshine.
